В информатике специальное наименование, имя элементарных данных, массивов данных, программ или других объектов, которые запрашиваются, обрабатываются и выдаются на выход ЭВМ. Для переменных величин (данных) требуется четко различать имя и значение величины (например, имя переменной x, значение — 0, 1, 2, и т.д.); для постоянной величины само ее значение может служить идентификатором.
